Clutchpack Nut Removal

Previous | Home | Next
This nut is threaded backwards.  To remove it, it requires turning it in the normal tightening direction; that is, clockwise.  It's on with Locktite and will take a pretty good sized breaker bar to get it loose.  It's easy to remove the nut if you have a stock clutch pack.  The clutch can be held stationary easily with an aluminum or wooden piece inserted diagonally between the compensator sprocket and the starter ring.
