It is impossible to remove the primary
chain and clutch pack without also removing the compensator. Here,
you can see my scrap of aluminum that is inserted diagonally between the
clutch sprocket and the compensator sprocket. It doesn't take
much. Even a stick of oak wood will do the job. A
little heat on the compensator nut from a Propane torch will soften the
Locktite and make the job easier. I understand that an impact tool makes
the removal easier yet. |
