Inner Primary Case Removal

The alternator stator windings were slightly discolored; notice the coloration of the windings at the 10, 11, and 12 o'clock position.  I called Cycle Electric.  They said that this is normal, these windings are apparently not in as much cooling oil bath as the rest.

There are five bolts inside the primary held with lock tabs that also have high-hear Silicone sealant (visible in this picture).  I opened the lock tabs and removed those five bolts along with the two in the front of the case.  Then, on the other side of the bike, I removed the starter bolts that also hold the primary on.  Then, bend the tab flat and using a 5/16" nut driver, I removed the starter jackshaft bolt.
