Main Bearing Removal

O.K., I missed taking a couple of pictures.  The final drive gear and shaft came out quite easily with a few taps from the wooden butt of a hammer to drive it from the left side of the motorcycle towards the center of the transmission case.  It came out easily so I didn't revert to making a puller.

Then, the main seal and huge clip ring were removed.  I used a 12" needle nose plier with slightly ground ends to grab and squeeze the huge C-clip for removal.  Then, using the same wooden hammer butt, I tapped the main bearing from the inside to drive it out of the transmission case.  It was a piece of cake.   The bearing and seal are to be discarded and new ones installed.  This picture is after the gear, seal, bearing, have been removed.

I inspected the land for the bearing in the transmission case. No cracks or anything bad found.
