Shifter Removal
Previous | Home | NextThere's a small c-clip holding the shifter shaft in place, clearly visible when looking at the left side of the transmission. The clip also holds the washer over the shifter shaft seal. Remove the c-clip and pull the shifter out towards the inside of the transmission.
The shifter shaft seal looks just
fine. Doesn't look anything at all like the lip damaged one that I
took out last year. Dunno why it was seeping transmission lube.
I'll change it anyway.
